XV JORNADAS DE ARTE, COMUNICACIÓN Y NUEVAS TECNOLOGÍAS
COMUNICARTE 2012

A new edition of Comunicarte –a group of seminars and lectures about art, comunication and new technologies- took place in IES Puerta Bonita. Between june the 19th and june the 21th, colloquies and conferences about new features in the productive processes was developed. This edition, Comunicarte paid tribute to the influence of the 1812 Spanish Constitution –called La Pepa- and Goya –one of the most important spanish painters- in the field of graphic arts. In addition, those who came to Comunicarte were able to enjoy several photographic exhibitions and verify the publishing innovations with the invited bookstore, Graphic Book.

Graphic Industries Forum

Adobe Tour with Creative Suite 6: Welcome to the future of the creativity. The last innovations in developing of apps with Adobe Creative Solutions were showed.
Drupa 2012. Members of the staff of Dupont Packaging Graphics, Hartmann, Kodak, Optichrme Computer Systems, Esko Artwork, Ricoh España, Xerox and Konica Minolta, assessed the tools presented on Drupa 2012.

Introducing Fpempresa

FPEmpresa is a project led by 89 vocational lerning schools of the whole Spain that involves a great amount of companies. It is one of the most important innovation projects in Spain, with an investment of 3 million euros.

The target of the project is to look for new relations between vocational learning schools and the companies of its environment. To reach this target, a new website www.fpempresa.es it is being developed within the project.

The presentation took place on June the 20th. It was led by Javier Herranz and Chema Cenarro, two of the members of the Coordination Board.

DRUPA 2012
STUDY VISIT

A group of students and teachers of the Graphic Department went to Düsseldorf between may the 6th and may the 11th. They attended to several lectures within the print media fair DRUPA 2012. They could see the new trends in digital press, packaging and interactivity between graphic and electronic press. They visited the Graphic Engineering Departmnent of Wüppertal University as well.

Platos Rotos

The fifth anniversary of Platos Rotos was celebrated on may the 4th in Puerta Bonita Theater. The line-up included several groups such The Eternall Fall, La broma negra, The New Technocrats, Kalashnikovs, Suka, Mr. Tyrell, Sorry Mamma and Nbruto. Platos Rotos was involved as a part of FESTIMAD 2M, one of the most important music festivals in Spain. In addition, it has been awarded with one of the Spanish Educational Innovation Prizes in 2012.

Música tras la Puerta
Stage Audio and Mastering

Two courses aimed on improving audio practical skills were developed within the innovation Project Música Tras la Puerta 2012, which is funded by the Spanish Ministry of Education and the European Social Fund. Three vocational education schools take part in the Project –IES Puerta Bonita (Madrid), Carlos María Rodríguez de Valcárcel (Madrid) and Centro Integrado de Imagen y Sonido CISLAN (Asturias)-. Graudio Institute was in charge of organizing the schedule and pick the lecturers for the courses.

One of the courses was done in IES Puerta Bonita. It was focused on the rol played by digital networks in the field of stage audio. A gospel choir gave a concert in Puerta Bonita Theater the last day of the course.

The other course was done in Mastering Mansion Studio. Nick Litwin, its owner, spoke about the importance of mastering properly the music which previously has been recorded and mixed.

Meeting in Madrid
FPempresa

The I Fpempresa Asocciation Forum took place in CIFP José Luis Garci on may the 23th. The Fpempresa Asocciation started as a part of the Innovation Project Fpempresa. During the forum, the main results achieved by the regional network of Madrid were set out. Moreover, Carlos Crespo (Vice-councillor of Vocational Education of the Basque Government) and Jorge Arevalo (President of the Fpempresa Association) took part in the forum as lecturers.

International Congress
Milid Week

Two teachers of IES Puerta Bonita staff – Gemma Teso and Carmen López-Fuensalida- joined the Milid Week in Barcelona. Milid Week is a network that tries to improve the cooperation between agencies, universities, media companies, NGO, researchears and teachers from the whole world in the field of mass media. The network is a part of Unesco, United Nations and Aliancce of Civilizations. It mainly aims to improve the knowledge about mass media in society.

The participants presented several media tools which could be useful to make kids, yougsters and adults more tolerant. Gemma Teso and Carmen López-Fuensalida spoke about the conclusions of the project “Los Jóvenes vistos por los Jóvenes”, that it has been doing for 11 years in IES Puerta Bonita.

Applied Innovation Project
Youngsters and climate change in A Coruña

“Jóvenes frente al cambio climático” (“Youngsters facing climate change”) is an Applied Innovation Project within which it has been developed a transmedia coproduction. Several meetings between the schools that take part in the project have been done as well.

The third meeting took place in A Coruña between april the 10th and april the 13th. The extended versión of the coproduction was done, the web site of the project was launched and the students who went to the meeting could attend to a course, given by the cinematographer Suso Bello, about cinema software Leonardo da Vinci.

Vivero de empresas
Puerta Empresarial

During this year it is being developed The 7th edition of SME Incubator “Puerta Empresarial”, which tries to help entrepeneurs to find new ways of starting out their self-employment careers.

Ernesto Peirat gave a lecture in april about the importance of the self-employment. In addition, the students interested in this field are doing a workship about online business.

The students will apply in september to take advantage of the facilities of Puerta Bonita to start out their own business.

I Photographic Competition
In_Cubus. Creative meeting point

Luis Laguna Hernández –an student of Design and Publishing Production- has been awarded with the prize in the first picture competition within In_Cubus project. His pictures, which have been taken in Berlin, show the efforts made by human being in order to make the environment more comfortable. The pictures will be showed in a book and in a brand new exhibition area in Puerta Bonita, which has been built as a creative meeting point.

Technical Meeting
Processes of handling and industrial binding

A technical meeting about processes of handling and industrial binding took place on april the 21th. José Chuvieco Salinero, who work as a teacher in Puerta Bonita, presented his book Processes of Handling and Industrial Binding.

There were several lectures given by Mariano Estefani, General Manager of MURO Procesos de Comunicación Gráfica; Manuel Vacas, Manager ORYMU y Fernández Ciudad; José Luis de la Casa, Manager of SIGMA Encuadernación ; Rául García Magán, General Manager of GRUPO NEO y Juan José Rodríguez, a teacher of IES Puerta Bonita.

Aries Grupo de Comunicación

The students of first year of Design and Publishing Production visited, along with their teachers, Aries Communication Group. They could go round the facilities of the company. Antonio Martin, the General Manager of the company, explained how it works in the field of Graphic Arts.
