Professional Degree:	Graphic Arts Prepress Technician (*)

Length:	2.000 hours, in two academic courses.

Professional Competences:	This professional will be able to: Carry out the necessary operations for the treatment, assembly and image setting of both text and image and obtain the printed forms, controlling and maintaining in first level the necessary equipment to obtain film and the printed forms with the required quality meeting the deadlines.

Professional Field:	This professional can work as: Typist corrector, text treatment technician, typographic corrector, photographer, Image setter and scanner, gravure printer, path tracer and stripper. In large and medium companies in the Graphic Arts field, press and advertising dedicated to: Path tracing, stripping and the obtainment of the printing form. Text and Image treatment. Assembly and image setting.

Title: Técnico en Preimpresión en Artes Gráficas Country: Spain Grammatical variants: Técnica/os en Level: ISCED 3 Certificate and title obtained by pupils whose continuous assessment in all subjects has been satisfactory on completion of the intermediate one-and-a-half to two-year vocational training (Formación Profesional Específica de Grado Medio) established by the 1990 Ley Orgánica de Ordenación General del Sistema Educativo (LOGSE, or Organic Law on the General Organisation of the Education System). The certificate indicates the subject of specialisation and gives access to general upper secondary education (Bachillerato) or to employment. The level of education specified corresponds to the level of the educational programme on completion of which an examination is held, a qualification awarded or a title conferred.
